Origin of Dalgona Coffee
It was first introduced in January 2020 on KBS 2TV program 'Newly released restaurant' of KBS(Korean Broadcasting Station).

This is how you drink the 'Dalgona Foam' on top of milk. On the air, after Jung Il-woo drank the drink at a restaurant in Macau, he said, "When I was in elementary school, it tasted like melted dalgona sold in front of the school," which led to the name "Dalgona Coffee."
However, after the broadcast, making Dalgona coffee has spread like a trend on YouTube and Instagram.

Foreigners who started to join the social distancing effort also began to challenge making Dalgona coffee.
North American media, including BuzzFeed, the New York Post, Mashable and Los Angeles Times, also shed light on the recipe, saying, "It is popular in Korea to make dalgona coffee."

And, instead of coffee they are using flavoured milks. For the new ‘flavoured’ coffee, you just use sugar, flavored powders, and water to make the creamy part, then serve it on ice and milk.
It's essentially the same process of original Dalgona Coffee, just with milk powders like Nesquik or Hershey's chocolate to get the flavors.
