2016 노벨문학상, 밥 딜런 (Bob Dylan | Robert Allen Zimmerman)

싱어송라이터이자 포크 가수, 시인으로 활동한 밥 딜런(Bob Dylan | Robert Allen Zimmerman)이 노벨문학상을 수상하였다. 

소설가나 시인이 아닌 음악인이 노벨문학상을 받는 경우는 사상 처음이다. 그는 'The Freewheelin Bob Dylan'의 성공을 통해 밥 딜런은 사회적 저항 운동의 상징적인 음악가가 됐다.  이 앨범에는 사회변혁에 대한 딜런의 관심이 부각되어 있다.

‘Blowin’ in the Wind’, ‘A Hard Rain’s A–Gonna Fall’, ‘Masters Of War’의 3부작은 변화에 대한 한 세대의 열망을 집약한다. 이 세 곡은 여러 면에서 가장 오랫동안 변함없이 사랑받는 딜런의 곡이다.
